A Winning Streak Forecasted by Adidas CEO
Sporting goods producer Adidas will meet its future sales targets, despite current economic woes, according to CEO Herbet Hainer.. Like many companies, recent times have been a challenge with sales falling in 2009, though only by 4%. However the year before, 2008, had been the company’s best ever year.
Hainer is confident:Adidas will, as stated by Hainer meet or even exceed its own sales targets with an anticipated £100 million being generated as a result of the 2012 Olympic Games alone.
Certainly the economic prospects are stormy, Hainer anticipates that Adidas have a great basis for going forwards: Having a product line that speaks to people’s concerns about health, fitness and wellbeing, and pricing tha makes the Adidas line available to the mass market, the company appears to be well place to deliver the goods. Sports shoes like the Adidas Forum Mid trainer indicate the company is has its eye on the needs of the market..
Adidas is the second largest producer of sporting goods after Nike. As well as big events the company is looking to expand its sales base into emerging markets and older aged customers.
