Fashion - Pink - OK For Men?
For several reasons pink has strong associations with femininity. I am not sure why this is the case, but the upshot is that men are mostly unwilling to wear clothing that is pink, particularly a pink shirt. This is very unfortunate because pink can look really pleasant on particular men and they therefore waste the chance to wear something that makes them look good.
The color pink has its own distinctive style. It can look classic and fashionable, particularly the subtler tones, such as pastels. More vivid shades of pink should be avoided where possible because they tend to appear tacky or rebellious (shocking pink was a basic colour of punk rock fashion).
How Do I Complement Pink
Pink is quite a simple colour to match, but you have got to be careful. Pink blends well with related colours such as salmon and brown. Pink also looks great with white, for example a pink tie on a white shirt. Avoid blues, greens and yellows. Pink looks good on people with brown or dark hair.
Can pink be worn on any occasion?
Pink shirts can be work in for most occasions: at work, in a bar, on your days off, in the supermarket.
This isn’t an excuse to break dress-code however so always be sensitive to the occasion. Never put yourself at a social disadvantage. For example company meetings usually require for a conservative look such as a white shirt and a low key well-pressed suit.
Pink can look very good on a man.
